With current auto supply/demand issues driving used car values through the roof, do you feel there's increased potential of your 4runner being stolen? If so, what measures are you taking?

Not really. If there was, it'd be to strip it down for parts to re-sell in a chop shop...which is unusual in my neck of the woods. Install a cheap kill switch, put a CLUB on the steering wheel and call it good. (oh..and don't keep a spare key anywhere in your vehicle)

How much faith you all have on "toyota safety connect"? That claim to locate the vehicle in case of theft.

Last time when I renew I got a pop-up saying the service will not be available after end of 2022 as service providers will no longer use 3G.

Not sure would it be the same for newer 4runners?

That is my carry .40cal G23c with a great build off of theglockstore.com. . It is not a pinker.?!
2nd my nightstand gun is actually a 45ACP. As I am 6'4 I need a gun that fits my hands. That said a 9mm took me down & I didn't know until I saw blood pumping out my leg with every heartbeat. I was hit in the femoral artery.
No one will be outside our house without our GSD going nuts. I am secondary to him & sleep better knowing that.
Also, both my roommate (at the time & I are 6'4+) & who would of thought KIDS would be packing for car burglaries...

The "good" are hard to kill. Just like the truly bad ones. The "kid" that shot me was involved in another murder! He is no longer eligible for parole.

We are way off topic. Sorry OP @mauspalls .
I just hate irresponsible gun owners & kids with guns. I always respected the power behind what I was holding.
Been shooting since 12ish. Potato guns, air guns, 20ga etc it is great fun & a good exercise in self control.

I don't do any talking... I just carry one of these.

This is what I call "My assistant". He does the talking for me. All I would say to robbers is, "don't let me catch you in the act..."

IMO carrying a :infantry:will not help vehicle theft.

Almost all theft I see are vehicle thefts when owner is not around.

Thanks for all the replies - consensus seems to be I may be overthinking the whole theft issue. And love the blaster pics! I'm a revolver guy myself - my ccw is a stainless S&W 640 in .357 magnum flavor. It was my 'holy grail' gun that I've been looking for for years - 1995 serial number, first build year for the .357. No MIM and all forged internals. NIB unfired. Glorious.

I hope your CCW has been used for your testing! Also, keep it used & oiled. IF you need it you want to know it works as desired.
I try to go shooting often to keep up with muscle memory and remember every function of all guns.

Affirmative. All my blasters get used on the regular, especially my j-frames as they can be difficult to shoot well with stout loads & so require frequent practice. Muscle memory super important. One advantage to a revolver is the manual-of-arms is somewhat simplified due to lack of external safeties/controls, a plus in my book.
