Question. I have a 2010 4runnner w/out the JBL system. I heard of a site called tacotunes so I did some looking. They have a "plug and play" amplifier. My question is what makes it plug and play ? Don't you still have to run speaker wires from the amp to the speakers?

Do me a favor - email them. And call them. Then email them again. You'll never hear from them.

That's the issue I'm having. I've tried multiple times and nothing.

    @NJK570
Hello! Im josh @ tacotunes. Toyota 4Runner How to install and route plug and play amp harness system - YouTube
Here is a link that shows the plug and play of what we do. We manufacture audio products specifically designed for your Toyota. NO cutting and NO splicing to your factory wires needed at all. With our plug and play set ups you DO NOT need to run wire from the speakers to the amps. You use your existing connections. Check out our 4runner thread on youtube.
Email daniel@tacotunes.com for any tech and inquiry questions.

@08TXRunner sorry if theres been a delay in responding quickly. With limited staff and thousands of emails and calls daily, we try to get to everyone as fast as possible.

@Sixgunz whats your order number? Ill try my best to get it out asap! Were still under heavy regulations here in TX (50%) so were working as fast as we can with what weve got.

    Emails are
    support@tacotunes.com
    daniel@tacotunes.com

(I handle all of the shipping)
if you have any shipping questions email me at josh@tacotunes.com

    thanks!

Maybe you need to hire more people. When someone calls - repeatedly - and says "I have money I want to throw at your company" and you don't respond, you lose people. And it has nothing to do with Covid. It's been your reputation for quite some time. If you have "thousands" of calls and emails daily that go unanswered, you have a management/ownership problem. I spent my thousands of dollars elsewhere.

40399. I have no complaints, I was worried that your company may be...experiencing difficulties and I plan on installing my system in the next 2 weeks (I ordered speakers & amp from another site). I was worried my order would get delayed for an unreasonable time.

Just an update on this - I'm not trying to throw Tacotunes under the bus, but I think people need to know this information and understand what they're getting into when ordering from Tacotunes.

I ordered 2 wiring harnesses on 01/16/2021. Both were listed as "In Stock" when I ordered them. I live in Arizona and Tacotunes is in Texas - not exactly a distance between Maine and Hawaii. I have yet to receive them and those items are holding up my system install. I am aware of longer ship times on their website - but we are beyond that.

I contacted Tacotunes today and I was told there was an issue with one of the harnesses (tweeter harness) and it would ship out "soon." I just checked the site and the tweeter harnesses were showing in stock. This is not good customer service. I understand delivery issues happen, but Tacotunes has every means to communicate with me. (they have my address, phone number and e-mail). I only ask for honesty and integrity - if you're out, say you're out. If you're backordered, be honest about it. Don't say you have it in stock when you don't just to make sure you're not turning money away.

I'm sure the company rep will be in here shortly with some excuse. Fact is this is how that company has operated for years.

Pages upon pages upon pages on different forums about taco tunes. Why anyone still wishes to do business with them is beyond me.

I have no one to blame but me. I didn't do my due diligence. Their tweeter harnesses are a great design..I wanted to be able to put my stereo back to stock easily and that's tough to do when you destroy the tweeter by removing the harness. And, their harness for adding amps to the factory system is the only one that I know of. Not the end of the world, I guess...cocktail time. :bananadance:

Just an update on my post....I still have not received my order. The tweeter harnesses are still not in. Taco Tunes has improved their communication, but I wanted everyone here to know that I have not received parts ordered on January 16th that were listed as "in stock" when I ordered them.
