I recently purchased a 08 SR5 to daily drive and I’ve been starting to add mods here and there. I’ve been looking for a 3inch lift and came across a rough country 3 inch lift but I was told that rough country was not the way to go. I’m 18 so I’m on a budget around $750-800. Any recommendations on a 3 inch lift for a daily driver?

Welcome to the forum. I’ve not had enough country so I can’t comment on them. Good luck with your built.

I've ran multiple rough country lifts never had an issue. A lot of people talk badly about them because their buddies girlfriends ex husband had one and he didn't like it.

Straight budget build you could use stock Toyota parts. I got front shocks and coils off a 3rd gen Tacoma and rears off of an FJ for under $200 total. Yields about 2.5-3” up front and about an inch in the rear. Check Craigslist and Facebook marketplace. It was easy for me because I’m still on tacomaworld and get Tacoma parts easily
