So I swapped my upper and lower driver seat with the upper and lower passenger seat

    It's pretty straight forward
Remove plastics...remove 8 bolts and separate the seats from the frames and reverse process

    2 things
    The passenger rails are independent
The driver rails are connected so it's a little more fiddly to put the upper seat together

You have to make sure on each seat that the tabs fit into the slots and the plastic pieces are in place first

That's the hardest part of the job

This is the plastic piece that sits in between the seat and the frame rail

Is this a maintenance thing to balance out wear like rotating the tires?

Definitely useful for those of us who drive their car for it's entire life since the driver's seat is most likely to wear out first. Swap them after 10 years along or so.

Your thread is timely (for me) -- I've been wondering how the big plastic piece on the front of the driver's seat comes off.

Can you detail that a bit? I haven't yet found a method, and frankly I'm terrified of breaking it. Thanks!

I have a 2000 and there's no plastic piece on the front of my seats

Mine just has the side plastics

Usually most plastic trim is either held on with tiny screws or they'll be held with tabs

    Ah, okay. I didn't realize yours is a 2000... this one's a 2024.
