I had the new SR5 brake squeal problem. I reported it to Toyota Brand Engagement Center:
They helped setup with my dealer. Had to leave over night so it could be heard. At 100 miles they replaced some brake parts. Did not fix problem. I waited till 900 miles and have opened a new complaint. I was hoping something would wear in.Waiting for a response from case manager.

Heard 2025+ is prone to a squeal in reverse but don't know how it is currently.

A 5th gen squealing in reverse likely has an issue unique to it since I don't think I've really heard of it as something common.

Welcome from Wisconsin! What brake parts were replaced? There is some residual pressure on brake pads (to reduce pedal travel upon application) but should not be so much as to make them squeal in reverse. Your brakes get hot during driving?

Pads, shims, and lube. Squeal in reverse first start out in the morning from a garage kept car.

Type of brake pads might be the problem. Semi-metallic verses ceramic etc. Don't recall 'shims' on Toyota brakes, I may be wrong, and by lube I take it you mean the coating in the little tube one would apply to the metal portion of the pads themself that silences the harmonics from the pads being applied. Did the dealership de-glaze and put the rotors in a brake lathe to make sure they were true? The brakes on the race car make a horrible squeal sometimes, and it's the brake pad material. Try materials. Good luck

The paperwork handed to me said pads, shims and lube. At 100 miles they did not touch the rotors. I personally would have replaced the rotors, a simple and cheap preventive maneuver. That's what I do. It's cheaper for a DIYSer to replace the rotors than to take them to be trued.
