2020 ORP with KDSS. My two options are the SPC adjustable or Icon delta joint (for $170 more).

Looking for some opinions before I pull the trigger on a kings setup.

    Thank you!

I went with the SPC’s on my King’s setup, no BMC and 285’s fit nicely with no rubbing.

SPC’s are low maintenance, just add greases every 10k. Icons will need to be rebuilt.

2nd vote for jba. I had spcs on the Tacoma and had one fail bike at a weld, several ball joint replacements, bushing replacements (all of which spec handled really well). But it was still downtime and labor costs for new alignments etc.

I’ve had mine for almost 30k miles and have ridden them pretty hard, not one issue. I know they updated their ball joint recently within the last year, you could’ve had the bad batch.

Definitely not disagreeing with you there. I know a lot of folks got a bad batch of the actual arms that split where mine did where the weld is in the actual pivot for the attachment to the truck. And spc made that right. Then we had the bushing issues spc updated those, but the ball joint I never got away from those being bad It seemed every 10-15k one side or the other was going out. It got to the point spc would sent out a set and I would just replace the one bad side so I’d still have a spare. I still have two brand new ones somewhere in a box of Tacoma stuff in the building lol.

Damn sounds like they definitely steered you away there! Don’t blame you at all! I saw the joints are $150 on average, so I’m waiting for the day I break one and have to replace it lol. The beauty of them not being a traditional ball joint UCA is I can pop the broken one out easily and new one in without a press.
