First post for me here, I was changing spark plugs today and one of the connectors to the coil wouldn’t snap on as every connector in 40 years of driving Toyotas have done. I thought it was the coil but it was the white plastic part inside the connector that was literally falling apart. I pulled it out with some needle nose pliers and then it snapped into place. The engine ran fine and didn’t throw any codes so now I’m anxious that it might crap out on me. I looked up videos on YouTube and most of them explained how to release the individual wires from the connector and that they are held in place by a snap holding them. Anyone ever had this happen to them? Did you just get a replacement connector or should I just leave it alone? Thanks in advance.

You should be ok. The plastic piece keeps the wire terminals apart and in place. As long as the connection is made and doesn’t slide off when pulled, you are good.
