It may happen just like the LunaRock. My tundra pro is LunaRock but it’s what it is. Guys bash the Pro but at the end of the day on trade in the Pro will always be worth more on a trade in then the others.

Maybe Toyota will not re-release it until the 6th gen, so they don’t affect the sales on the Terra color. We should know more in August when they release MY24 details.

I put some RSG rock sliders on mine along with a set of TRD wheels in gunmetal gray with a set of 265/70/17 Ridge Grapplers that I previously had been running on a 4R that I sold.

I like the gunmetal gray color combined with the solar octane, but am still looking to get a bit more width without using wheel spacers.

I like them. I might be removing my predator steps when my Pro comes in and adding these. Not a big fan of the predator steps. They don’t give enough protection for door dings.

Agreed. I have the predator steps on a Tacoma and another 4R, and they are definitely good for getting in/out of the vehicle (especially if lifted), but they compromise ground clearance and make the vehicle look as if it sits lower.

Is quality lacking for anyone with their Solar Octane? There is a post with some complaining. For my self my 17, 20 4runner Pros’ Solid!! My 21 tundra Pro solid. Even my Tacomas before my 17 Pro. Anyone have any complaints?? I’m curious just on this thread.

No complaints here; I heard someone complaining about paint quality on their 4Runner in general but I’m blown away on the quality of the paint job on my solar octane. I think it’s better than my Lexus's.

I’ve had no paint issues whatsoever with the ‘22 4R that I owned, or either of the ‘23’s (one of which is solar octane) that I currently own.

Don’t even have my 4runner yet and already ordered the Cali raised cat protection. Probably ordering the canvasback and possibly RSG rock sliders. That should do it for now.

Two things that will help during the honeymoon period with the 4Runner. Make sure that she is always wearing sunglasses when the 4Runner is present and try to only take her out in it when it’s dark and the lights are out. It’s that bright initially, LOL.

She did agree when I told her at least someone will see the vehicle while they are driving and texting the color might blind them. Lol.

Which width of the SCS wheels did you go with? Are you happy with them and/or any regrets?

How about the ladder? How do you think it compares with the C4 ladder?

Running in a dilemma now since their is going to be a 24 4runner with the Terra color wife trying to get me to switch to that color and not buy the Solar Octane. Lol. Need to make a decision quickly.

I’m partial but both are winners. Try and get the new style wheels though.

To paraphrase Charles Revson, founder of Revlon, ..."Men in brown trucks look like s.....!"

Get the SO, it is so great. My wife loves the color, since she saw it on a Sequoia, but we can't find one at MSRP!

I’m leaning on staying with the Solar O. But my dealer told me they won’t swap the wheels out because both styles are for the Pro so whatever comes on it will be up to me to change them out. I’m fine with it because I’m still getting it at msrp. I may do the same thing and add SCS wheels like I did before. It gives the Pro a better stance with the stock size wheel and the 8.5 inch wheel.

I’m leaning towards going with the SO that I have coming in at msrp. 3 other dealers that are not that far from me all 3 want over msrp I spoke with while waiting for mine. Just doing a test to see what my other local dealers are charging. They are all nuts if they think I will pay over.

The ceramic does make it pop for sure. Almost did my 21 LunaRock tundra pro when I bought it with the PPF but decided not to. Stopped at my place close to where I work and the owner will give me a piece of PPF to slap on my SO the front of it when I bring it home and drop it off at the shop. Doing a track pack they call it the whole front of it with PPF and the A pillars and mirrors. Also along the door so far up and on the back quarters behind the tires all PPF. Then ceramic coat on the whole vehicle.
I’m very familiar with all the process I had my 19 C7 Z06 the whole car done when I bought it,

Well, I wish I could be of some help to you. I have 1500 miles on mine and traded it in on a 2023 Lexus GX 460 Premium Plus in Onyx Black. lolol!!!! There I go again! It will be ready today.
I would say either color is great. Out of all vehicles I've owned, the SO got the most compliments. Even though I only owned for a few months. ;)
