To anyone who’s been up close and personal with a new Sixth Gen interior: Where did they locate the power window switches and power door lock switches on the doors?

On my 2006 Tundra, they were down at the armrest level. I hate where they are located up high on the door sill on my 2022 4Runner.

When I first got my T4R, I was always automatically trying to reach and feel for the control switches where they were on my old Tundra. It really pissed me off for quite a while, but I finally got used to it. But I still think they’re mounted in a stupid location up that high.

On my wife’s 2021 RAV4 XLE Hybrid AWD, those control switches are mounted down at the armrest level,WHERE THEY SHOULD BE.

……just curious as to where the control switches are on the Sixth Gen doors. I haven’t seen one in person yet. None at our local dealer yet.

Well. Son of a b….! If that ain’t a fine how d’ya do! Something they should have done a long time ago. OK, well thanks 4Hopper.

But, I’m not going to trade my Fifth Gen in over it. Too many unknowns and negatives on this new one to trust it right now.

On my Tundra they’re also down but I like having the extra space for the cubby in the 4R (although the 6th gen has a LOT of storage area)
Personally I don’t mind having them where they are on the 5th gen

The one downside of having it on the top of the door sill is it gets hot when sitting in the sun for a while, when you want to roll down the window right after getting in it could get a little toasty. My F250 has it in the same location. I guess it was a truck layout thing?

prefer the lower, but it's not really the end of the world. They get less hot and less wet when raining on the lower level. But whatevs I guess.

While location of door switches on 6th Gen is a +1, the tally does not get anywhere near positive territory.
