Love the stars and strips on the 1911. On the p226 are those your initials? Rather loud but well done for sure

Ya those are special edition pistols. It is illegal to change the color of a firearm from its original manufactured condition. Unless certain steps are taken. Am I right peeps? But I’m old school laws may have changed....

It's not at all illegal... I don't think it ever has been. Even in California where modifying a CCW firearm is illegal you can still make cosmetic modifications.

You mean like different color grips or forearms/stocks? I thought you had to keep it the same coating unless your on a FFL or something? Prob something to do with keeping the serial number and manufacturer legible.

Nope. No laws whatsoever against refinishing a firearm.

I dont think brightly colored firearms are a smart idea.. a deadly weapon shouldn't look like a toy, but it's not illegal.

I do have my type 03 FFL and have refinished multiple firearms, but the FFL has no impact.

Technically, yes. Legally, no. You cannot manufacture a firearm without a license to do so. You can also easily modify an AR platform rifle to be fully automatic, but you'll spend a few years in a federal penitentiary if you get caught doing so.

Yeah.. simple modification... I am positive there are thousands of fully auto AR-15s out there in civilian hands.

On topic, recently got the missus a Sig p938 Equinox, very nice carry gun with a mechanical safety. I prefer hammer-fired and decocked, but my wife isn't comfortable there yet.

I’ve owned two Sigs when I had my CCW. They first started here in 95. Because I was carrying large sums of money for a check cashing store. Usually around 180k per pick-up. Every two to three weeks. But then I fell in love with the 44 Magnum.:)

Recently acquired a P365 and it has become my 24/7 EDC. It is as close to .380 size with 10 round mags. as you will find. It's not much bigger than the S&W Bodyguard that I carried for years.
