    Do these work, though?

For example, when I drive currently in the rain and roll the window down, rain comes into the cabin from the top. Or, when I am in a drive through lane for a fast food joint and its raining, when I roll the window down, rain comes in. Do these actually prevent rain from coming in?

Also, are they loud? In other words, do they create noise that can be heard in the cabin while driving?

I just bought a WeatherTech 4-piece set for my 2019 4Runner Limited. I had them, second hand, on a 2019 Tundra; I liked them and had them in and out and back in without issue. I would like for them to work on this vehicle.

But, luckily, I didn't peel the tape off of the back two because I am thinking of sending them back. On the fronts, I have a driver's side window that won't go all the way up - not stuck open too far but far enough to be a problem - no matter how much and how many times I adjusted it. On the passenger's side, my auto window won't go up and comes back down - still the same after 10+ up-and-down cycles.

    Can anyone help, please?

I just installed mine yesterday. The rears went in quickly after reading instructions 3 times and studying the instruction picture. The fronts were a little trickier. Start at the mirror and when just at the top of the frame, insert the other end by bowing. Make sure not to shove too far into the rubber channel. I had the window not go up on first side. Cause was error on my part. The edge of the WeatherTech wasn’t in the channel and folded the rubber in the channel. After removing and reinstalling works great. Love them.

I use AVS vent shades, the in-channel version. Installation was pretty straightforward, although I had to pull hard to get them seated well enough for good window operation. I only open the windows ~1/2" in the rain and water doesn't come under the conditions I use them. I imagine the story would be different at highway speeds in a deluge with the windows open wider.

I waited until a good 'hot' summer day to install mine...helped with that needed squish factor. The other thing you can do is to use a file and lightly chamfer the inside edge that the window glass contacts when rolling em up.

I only 'crack' the windows down so that the glass edge is not below the bottom edge of the deflector. It also helps to crack open the rear window about an inch to provide reverse airflow...I've never had rain enter the cabin area doing so.

    Oooh look, another mod.....
I've always looked at rain guards as "Things old men put on their vehicle", so I refuse to put them on my truck. It would make me old. I also find them to be worthless.

I hope they go the way curb feelers did back in the late 70's.
