Took off the cali raised sliders to address some surface rust. Wire brushed all the rust to bare metal. Should I put primer on first before I repaint?

I don’t think it could hurt anything. Depending on how well the powdercoat adhered originally, it might not make much of a long- term difference. But touching it up will buy you a year or two in the rust belt.

You’ll be able to tell if the powder has rust behind it if it’s not a perfectly smooth surface.

I am really happy with this which has primer included. Can't tell a difference on touch up to original powder coating. As close to powder coating in a can that i have seen.

80% off road recommended this to me it's what they use for bumpers.
