    Hey all!

Any recommendations for rear/front shocks and struts? Is it a job I can do myself (just learning to work on cars) or should I take it somewhere?

    Thanks!

You will need a spring compressor for the fronts and a willingness to work with a spring that could kill you. That job is not hard if you have air tools. If not...take it somewhere.

Rears, just unload the rear differential, and they unbolt. Top nut is a PITA. Easiest way is to take the spare tire out, get a socket on the top nut then use a chain wrench to turn the shock body to unscrew the top nut. Get new bushings.

If the front is not purchased/replaced as a coilover?

Replacing suspension on these vehicles is stupid easy though.

I had struts installed but I did rear shocks and springs in an hr. Used factory jack between rear end and bump stop to push it down to get the taller spring in. The shock bolt had to be rethreaded so I went all the way through and bolted with nylock on driver side. Rust life.
