Shock rebuild service shops recommendation in Northern California?

hello, new to the forums here. we are looking for shock rebuild service shops or if there's anyone available or specialize in servicing aftermarket shocks rebuild in the Northern California region? we have an icon suspension lift kit with the icon shocks, any help will be appreciated. thank you =)

If you're just looking for oil and seals service, check your closest ORW. I know some of the ones here in SoCal do ICON shock service. ORW is a huge dealer for them. If you want custom valving/anything beyond basic at the same time, you're probably better off sending them out.

wow might have to check out stellar built in Sacramento . as that might be the closest to the Bay Area. is there really no other shop/service closer in the Bay Area?

 

thank you. what is a ORW? one of our shocks is starting to leak oil... so we want to see if there was any close by shock service shops for future reference. thank you !

 

icon has a few authorized service centers but they are mostly located in Southern California. which is going to be quite the drive down there just for some shock rebuild servicing. was hoping there will be a shop nearby in norcal / sf Bay Area. thank you

They recently took over 4 Wheel Parts and there are 4WP locations in the Bay Area. Check here https://www.4wheelparts.com/articles/find-a-store-4wp and call around the NorCal locations.

 

4 wheel parts really sucks. Dont go there.

 

If the 4WP location is now an ORW, it's a different company with a much better service dept. I agree about 4WP in general, though.

 

Would be good if thats true. 4WP took my money for an alignment and then didn't do an alignment at all.

I paid them to do an alignment and they did nothing. I've read a ton of bad reviews online after my experience.
