    2016 4Runner SR5
Hello, everybody. New member here. We just acquired a 2016 4Runner SR5 with a 2" lift, which makes it a challenge for my wife to climb into. I've read a lot of stories about steel products rusting at their weld joints after about a year. Here on the west side of the Oregon Cascades, we have long rainy fall/winter/spring seasons, so I am thinking aluminum is the way to go. I don't want to buy some tinny junk, but also don't want to spend over around $250 (if possible). I've searched various sites until my eyes hurt, but have not been able to find the combo of aluminum + 6" wide for this model. I have found such products for the SR5 "Trail" model, but I don't believe our SR5 is in that category. Are the rocker bars or positions of their bolt holes different between those two models? Any input would be appreciated!

I know that Greenlane Off-Road makes aluminum rock sliders that are flat with kick-outs and top plates which could serve your purpose, along with preventing door dings and facilitating roof access, but cost nowhere near $250.00. Hopefully more will chime in with more suggestions. Welcome to the forum!
