    Hi all. I'm looking to install an onboard air compressor in the engine bay of my 21 TRD Pro. They location it is *supposed* to mount into is filled by the secondary air injection pump.
    From everything I've found so far, the pump is typically relocated to the area next to the windshield washer fluid reservoir (or maybe factory location on some vehicles?).
    I've got an aftermarket reservoir, so I can't move the pump there because there is no space.
    Does anyone have any experience with any other spot I could move it to without having to do a bunch of wiring?
    Just spend the money and buy the Hewlett-Tech bypass kit so the pump can be removed?
    Pic attached for reference. Red circle is current location of SAIS pump. Blue circle is where the pump is located in almost all of the pictures I found when trying to Google search this issue.
    I would be grateful for any input you all may have.

    My 2022 has it where you want to move it to. Did you modify yours and attach a motorcycle filter on it? Looks like you did

    Another option that's in the same line of thinking as Maj_Beck's idea of just finding a new place for the compressor: Have a look at the Runnin4Tacos (R4T) behind-the-grille mount.

    Or, replace the aftermarket washer fluid reservoir with the Snowbound Customs Relocation Reservoir (puts it behind the grill), move the SAIS pump back to where it belongs, then mount your compressor near the passenger firewall where you orginally planned. It'll be a few hours of work, but it's pretty tidy when you're done.

    It got moved back there when the Expedition One washer reservoir went in. Because that thing is huge (holds almost 2 gallons)! I don't really want to get rid of it, but if changing to a different one that will allow me to move the SAI Pump back to its original location is the most cost effective method, I guess that's what I'll have to do. Thanks!

    Appreciate the response. I'll have to check and see if there's room for my compressor behind the grill. I've got a Thor's Lightning Dual, and it's bigger than the ARB.
    As mentioned above, I'd like to avoid getting rid of my current washer reservoir. It holds 2 gallons which really comes in handy during snow melt season here in Alaska. If I can't find another location for the pump, or find a compelling reason that the Hewlitt Tech pump bypass (read: delete) kit is a really bad idea, I'll swap to the Snowbound Customs kit and move the pump back to its original location. Thanks for the good info!

    Yeah, that won't work for me. Area is covered with rear drawer set up, and even if it weren't, my compressor is too big to fit there. Looking at under-hood installation specifically to save cargo space. We camp for multiple days, and our dog takes up tbe back seat, so space is a premium.

    Bandi Mount worked with the Shrockworks relocation of the smog/air injection pump. Its been years and I do not think he makes them anymore but you can find more info over on the T4R.org forum. Other than that, you will probably have to relocate the washer tank or find another spot for your air compressor. There are plenty of products with different mounting locations
