Starting to see illuminated plug and play switches for the 4th Gen that seem awesome. Aside from being backlit, they add auto-up for the passenger front and both rear windows. But I looked into them b/c I have dogs so auto-stop is a must. Best as I can tell, it’s impossible to add auto-stop functionality without extensive mods like new window motors and such. If anyone knows different, please chime in because I would love to have this mod.

In the meantime, be aware that these switches don’t have the auto-stop function like the driver’s window. That means your dog’s head or your kid’s body part is going to be crushed by the closing window until the switch is reversed or the motor burns out.

Wish it wasn’t so but hard pass for me.

    Oooh look, another mod.....

I gotta plead ignorance on this. I had no idea this was a feature. But it makes sense now that I think about it.

After I get off work I’ll roll down my window then stick my hand in between it and the door frame - wish me luck!!!

Maybe using a roll of paper towels or a roll of toilet paper would be a better idea.
