The aluminum rails don't go with anything on the truck. Wheels will soon be replaced with some kind of black wheels. I wonder if the rails would look better wrapped in carbon fiber or black.

It kinda matches the stock SR5 wheels, but I agree, I didn’t like mine silver. I wrapped them.

Looks much better. Did you take the rack apart to wrap it or just wrap the rail in place?

Probably as bad as the stock predator steps which make the 4runner look like its super low to the ground. I was gonna toss them in the dumpster but ended up giving them away. I read that people break them while offloading due to them hanging so low. Nerf bars from nfab look so much better and tuck out of the way.

I took it apart. I used a paint can opener to pop off the plastic end caps, removed the rails, then disassembled the rails from the mounts. All in all, probably an hour and a half, but only because I was a bonehead wrapping the first rail. Doing it again, it'd probably take about 45 minutes or so.

I kept the bars running the length of the vehicle and removed the cross bars their a PITA to clean under and around. The end caps are also a nuisance trying to get off without breaking off the tabs.

If you want some tips shoot me a message I'm more than happy to help you out. I've scuffed and painted a few of these now and they've all turned out great...but if you want the quickest and easiest solution....go here...TRDShop.com. They have a swap out option.

Just keep in mind that if you paint them or swap them out...you'll need to scrape off your old oval seals and replace them with 8 of these. The part number is on the bag.
