1996 4runner 2.7L 3rz-fe

Soo our 4runner had a rod knock that has gotten worse. We came across another 3rz-fe out of a 1997 Tacoma. Everything about these two motors is identical EXCEPT the 1996 has a distributor and the 1997 has coil packs with wires to plugs. What all do we need to do to get the 1997 to work in my 1996 4runner??
