    Hello all,

    From Southern California.

Recently purchased my dream car... a 2020 4Runner Venture... really excited for the road trip adventures.

So, I'm visiting Nevada (Las Vegas) & Utah (Zion) in 2 weeks to go off-roading and visiting state parks. I wanted to know if I need certain permits to go on the trails for each of the states?

Also, I'm to open to any suggestions on off-road trails in NV & UT, since it's going to be my first road trip with the 4runner. I've been doing some research on AllTrails.com for some ideas.

    Thanks in advance.

Most "trails" you might encounter are actually public roads in varying stages of maintenance. To that end, any registered vehicle can operate on them without need for additional permits. Permits come into play mainly for actual ORV trail networks, private off road parks, and a few public access trails such as maybe 2 (that I know of) in Moab where you are paying a day use fee to the BLM. I doubt you'll encounter anything requiring a permit on a road trip; I never have.

Since you'll be in the St George,UT area, visit Toquerville Falls. It's a 7mile 4WD only trail that takes you to a very nice waterfall. You'll feel special that crossovers and cars can't get there.

We're headed that way next week for some camping in/on the Gooseberry Mesa area, question, is there dispersed camping options around the falls area?? TIA

Not sure since we didn't cp out there but I did see plenty of people camp right next to the falls so I believe it is possible to camp next to the falls

Congratulations on your purchase! Very nice color! I also have venture and I love it. Gray looks great on venture! One thing you need if to match tint on the front windows, it improves the look big time.
