I am getting ready to pull the trigger on "Eibach E80-82-073-01-22 Pro-Truck Lift (system1)"...on backorder of course. Before I do, I have a question for you all.

Is there a specific UCA 'pairing' I should look for with this lift kit? How important is this and if you have any brands you can recommend that would def be helpful. Thanks!

How high are you lifting? You may not need them.

You may be able to get away with not needing them, but if I was going that high I would buy them to be safe. You don’t need any specific UCA, it’s rather what fits your budget/needs. The popular choices on here are Ironman, SPC, Total Chaos and JBA.

RSG sliders, Yakima offgrid basket, Pro-Comp wheels, SOS Streamline bumper and skids, Warn VR EVO10S winch + Ultimate Sidewinder, Bilstein 6112 + 5100 + rear lift coils, Rigid Dually SS ditch lights w/Caliraised brackets and OEM style dash switch
JBA, SPC, Total Chaos and others are popular. I went with BDS due to ball joint construction VS uniball as I daily drive mine in snow and salt.

I have this SPC UCA. I guess they are basic but so far I have no complains. I bet they are no where near those fancy high performing ICON or Total Chaos ones.

If I were buying, it'd be OME or maybe Dobinson's, though the dobbies are kinda overpriced. Supposedly Eibach is working on some.. looking forward to theirs.

I've heard good things regarding the Dobinsons UCAs as well. I purchased a set of them just in case I end up needing them (lifting 2.5"), but, it seems they are back ordered and may not be available for a good while...Though, I had not heard about Eibach working on some UCAs! I'd be tempted to cancel my order of the Dobinsons and wait for those instead.

I've merely seen an Eibach employee hint at them.. so the wait could be long.. lol.

I've never understood why people say may not need them and chance it.

I mean if you can afford it get it so you dont have to take shit apart again. Unless that is something you want to do.

Just about everything is out of stock and backordered right now. Ironman is having a 15% off sale with code SPRING15. Their UCAs have about a 1 month lead time.

There are reasons other than cost to no replace. Toyota UCA's are proven to last 100k, or more.. without touching them. Not everyone wants to add maintenance items to the vehicle.

Fortunately, more companies are starting to offer "OE style" arms with no-maintenance bushings and built in (non-adjustable) caster adjustments..

Regardless, why pay for something you don't need? $600 can feed a lot of hungry kids.
