Radio replacement

Hello All,
I am new here, recently inherited a 1997 4Runner limited that my son no longer had a place for, have done a lot of needed maintenance.

There is currently no radio in it. I have seen the Apple Car play set ups...Nice!! But I do not like that it has to be tied in with my phone. I am looking for something similar but besides maps and such my main purpose will be FM radio.

I am looking for any suggestions, but do not want to break the bank. IF I have to go back to stock radio I am looking for suggestions on getting a replacement and reasonable costs.

I would of changed mine out but the cassette player was never used so.
I got a nice Soundstream from Crutchfield with detailed installing instructions. Put it in the Corolla. There is a place you can send your stock radio in for repair.
