My name is Thomas Classen, and I work for Radflo Shocks. We’re currently looking for a 6th Generation Toyota 4Runner to assist in the development of our latest suspension products.

If you're located in Southern California and interested in participating, we'd love to hear from you! In exchange for allowing us to use your vehicle for one week of R&D, we’re offering an exclusive 35% discount on any set of shocks we release for the 6th Gen 4Runner.

If you’re interested or have any questions, feel free to reach out to me at thomas.classen@radflo.com or call 714-965-7828. I’d be happy to discuss the details and set up a call to walk you through the process.

    Looking forward to connecting!

You want to borrow someone’s new $50-60K vehicle for a week and in return you’re only giving them 35% off buying your products? Good luck with that.

    Hello!

For the right customer who’s already looking to buy, a 35% discount on high-end shocks is a solid deal. You could be getting over $1k off your shocks.

    We will be offering:

    • 2.0 IFP: This Internal Floating Piston (IFP) shock utilizes a mono-tube design for precise damping control, delivering superior handling and ride comfort compared to stock. It's well-suited for daily driving and light off-road use, offering increased responsiveness and durability at an affordable price point. 500R is equipped with a Hydraulic Droop Stop (HDS), which plays a critical role in protecting the shock during extreme extension and reducing harsh top out noise.

    • 2.5 IFP: With a larger 2.5" diameter body, this shock provides enhanced oil volume and heat dissipation, significantly improving performance during more demanding off-road conditions. The absence of a reservoir makes it a straightforward upgrade for those seeking improved damping without added complexity.

    • 2.5 with Reservoir: The addition of an external reservoir increases oil capacity and cooling efficiency, preventing cavitation and shock fade under prolonged or aggressive off-road use. This results in more consistent damping performance over time, even in extreme conditions.

    • 2.5 with Reservoir and Compression Adjuster: This shock incorporates a single compression adjuster, enabling precise control over the shock's stiffness. It allows you to quickly adjust for various driving conditions, from high-performance off-roading to daily highway comfort, with the turn of a dial.

    • 2.5 with Reservoir and High/Low Speed Adjusters: Designed for enthusiasts who demand maximum tunability, this shock features independent high- and low-speed compression adjusters. This dual-adjustment capability allows for fine-tuning the suspension response for specific applications, ranging from slow-speed rock crawling to high-speed desert runs.

    • 2.5 Internal Bypass with Reservoir and High/Low Speed Adjusters: Built for those who require the ultimate in performance and precision, this shock features an internal bypass design that provides advanced tuning capabilities. External bypass performance into one shock singular body.

*Built to order. Free custom valving.

No, with all due respect, it is definitely not a solid deal.

Apparently OP found a sucker that signed up to get their brand new truck taken apart and torture tested for a discount coupon.

One week of use = maybe $1000. I always thought if companies used your vehicle as a test vehicle you got the parts they where testing for free.

IMO 1 week of suspension test on different terrain and obstacles should be much more than free product. Depending on the suspension test you might be due for shock rebuilding in very low miles. Me personally would never give new vehicle for such test driven by someone else for any money.

I hope I don't get in trouble for saying something negative about a product vendor as this forum runs by money coming from vendors.

You are 100% right. It's not like you are lending someone your brand new vehicle for a week long photo shoot. You are giving someone your brand new vehicle for them to take apart and wrench on. Swapping OEM parts for prototype/beta parts and hardware followed by "testing" which is certainly going to stress not only those components, but everything else connected to them. It's a big ask ask under any circumstances..... and for a 35% parts discount it seems ridiculous to me. Especially given the fact the parts aren't even in production yet.... AND, you gotta believe there will be all kinds of 15%, 20%, + coupon codes being offered for Labor Day, 4th of July, etc.

BTW, if your vehicle gets damaged during this beta testing, who's insurance pays to get it fixed?

Last time someone had my truck for like a day for R&D I got the entire suspension free. Someone else wanted it for sliders. I then got the sliders for free. Good luck

Edit: Whoever takes this deal, you’ll then need to pay for an alignment

    Fun fact:
    A) they aren’t a vendor
    B) vendors do not pay us a dime. We have never charged so it is at our will

What a deal! Someone gets to test their product on someone else's brand new truck, and the owner of said truck still has to pay for the product being tested, once the testing period is over. In other words, the OP and his company benefits twice. Some folks in this world really have a lot of nerve.

    Cheers,

    Sean
