Question about fader balance stock 5th gen

I just replaced all my speakers in my sr5 with memphis audio speakers. With different delivery times I replaced the rear speakers first with 6.5 2 ways. They do not seem to play very loud on the stock radio. Today the 6x9 component set came is and it seems to be louder if I set the fader to the middle. Is that be design? I thought the system wasn't powerful enough to drive them but the 6x9"s crank pretty well at 40 or so. The front set seems to be much louder than the rear 2 sets. I am kind of surprised with the difference. I do realize you want the front louder but the difference seems pretty big.

 

What's the ohm rating? If you went with a higher ohm rating you're going to have quieter speakers.

 

I believe they are all 4 ohm which I thought is the same as stock.

 

Hmm that was my best guess, I learned that little tidbit from thinking higher was better haha

 

Output to rear on the factory radio. This is from a 2020. The front looks nothing like this. This is the electrical response, not an acoustical measurement.

 

I believe that the rear doors and hatch speakers are 2ohm speakers and run in series to equal 4ohms. If you replace them with 4ohm speakers you'd be at 8ohms which would quiet it down some, would take more power to drive them. Speakers in series adds ohms, in parallel they divide.

 

Pretty sure I measured mine at 4 ohms when I pulled them out.

 

I could be wrong then, but I know my Tundra and Tacoma were 2 ohm speakers, it was even stamped on the magnet and I thought that I saw where Rob from TacoTunes said there were 2 ohms. But like I said, I certainly could be wrong.

 

I did not have the JBL system. I can see that being different.

 

I took a look and they are all 4 ohm. I put them on fb marketplace for $100 for the set. I would think the impedance could change wiring the 2 sets together though. I am going to run it the way it is to see if it's worth adding an amp for them. I already looked at a place. I'd get someone else to do that as I an not comfortable pulling out the head unit myself for that. I kept having to redo the doors from not correctly popping the door lock cables in place or just forgetting to do one trying to beat the rain. I'm getting to old for this shit).
