Propane Tank Mounting

I'm researching options for transporting a propane tank, and jerry can. The best method I've seen are accessories attached to a spare tire carriers, however, they're very expensive and I prefer to keep my spare tire mounted under the vehicle. Ideally what I'm looking for is a version of a spare tire carrier that is used only for mounting items like the propane tanks, and no spare tire. Anyone know of such a thing?

I have a Sherpa Crestone roof rack, but I'd rather not mount the items there due to air resistance while driving.

Thanks for any ideas or accessories you can share.
