New radio, speakers, and antenna. More projects planned.
Hey guys, quick cosmetic question about my 1995 4Runner. These 2 pictures show what my truck would look like with black bumpers vs what it looks like right now with chrome. I really like the look of the black, but I don't know what to use. Would plastidip or Bedspray work better? Also, could I use the same dip/spray on my wheels and side mirrors? Thanks.IMG_20180423_085637.jpg IMG_20180422_202838.jpg
P.S. Any other suggestions for improveing my rig? I'd like to get new running boards and a bigger rack, but I'll take any ideas.

I absolutely wouldn't do that. Your chrome looks to be in good shape and suits the truck. The black will look like a cheap homemade mod.

I don't believe the op is asking if he should do it, sounds like he likes the look. Just wants to know what might work best to get there. In my opinion i think plastic dip, that way you can take it off if you decide you don't like it. Most of all, i would follow your likes because when it comes down to it your the one that it makes smile.

Sometimes when someone is making a questionable decision a little friendly advice can help them re-assess.

Tough call. Plasti dip on the chrome is gonna get hammered on the front bumper. Might see lots of chips/marks after not a lot of miles. Nice thing is you could simply spray it again. Or take it off, as previously noted.

Bed liner will be much more durable. If I new for certain I wanted black, I'd use bed liner. (Assuming it'll work on chrome- that I don't know).

Have you given any thought to purchasing an inexpensive aftermarket steel bumper? Might be worth looking into?

I say dip the shit out of em,... you dont like it, peal it off,... You do,... win win.... its cheap, and easy,... Have some buddies come over, kill a 18 pack, and start spraying. Ya hate it, peal it off, and chalk it up as whatever

I used Monsterline on my fender flairs and sliders on my jeep. Easy, worked well, looked good, lasted.
