I'm considering pillar lights for my 2022 4R TRD Pro as well as my dad's 2024 4R ORP. However, most of the product descriptions say the pillar lights fit 2010-2024 except for the 2024 4R ORP trim.

I was under the impression that most 5th Gen (especially 2020-2024) trims were the same (excluding the limited).

Have read one review from a 2024 4R ORP owner who installed the pillar lights but had to "get creative" because they didn't really fit...so that seems to suggest the lights really don't fit the 2024 4R ORP trim.

Anyone know what is different about the 2024 ORP trim? Is the pillar a different shape or size on the 2024 ORP? Is there a different clip pattern?

I've contacted three of the retailers for these lights who all say they don't fit the 2024 4R ORP but won't disclose why.

Example of the lights here and below (although they all seem to be the same product using the same bulb and product photos).

Are you looking for more light when you brake? The 4runner has incredibly bright brake lights from factory. Plus morf is spot on, I've seen those videos too.

Like you OP I am surprised that the 2024 ORP would be excluded, and wonder why. Is it a physical difference in the parts, or the wiring maybe? If if there were some change to the parts, why would that change be applied only to the ORP trim and no others? Very odd indeed.

I have these. Get nothing but complements. They fit and work with no issues. Just get ready for the red back window. Not sure what the ORP on the one single year trim level would be. Maybe a clip is moved for some reason?

Exactly! Seems odd. Have done some pretty exhaustive online research and turned up nothing conclusive (and can't find part numbers for either trim). Perhaps I'll just have to pop out both sets of pillars and see for myself if anything is noticeably different. Will update this thread if/when I do. Thanks for the support, Captain!

If i had to guess, someone with an ORP tried to install them with issues and sent the seller pictures and complaints so the seller (who likely has never installed one and is just a reseller) just put a disclaimer and excluded the ORP from the list of fitments.
Yes the rear sail panel is the same across the trims, these lights are likely a china repop and their fitment may be subpar so you may have to get creative. I have had to in all sorts of different situations before when modding or installing things.
