I do a lot of bikepacking. So, I carry an extensive 'survival kit'.

Water filter (with a 4.5L total water carry capacity), ultra light camping gear and I try to keep 2 or 3 days of food on the bike.

I'm interested in what you carry all the other times, and why.

During the winter, I usually carry more, like shelter stuff, food etc,. While I know in southern illinois I'll never truly be in a real survival situation, there's always a possibility of breaking something, or a sprained ankle , and with colder temps, shorter day light hours, and next to no dry fire wood, I'd rather be prepared more than not, plus year round i literally creek walk, so I'm already wet and cold in under freezing conditions lol. #HIKELIFE 20241229_122816.jpg

My bike may or may not have some Fireball stashed in there.
