Hey all! I posted about this a year ago and have no solution since. I am new to the 4Runner community but my 2023 SR5 is having a rattling on the front passenger side. I took it into the dealer but they were unable to replicate it but thought it might be the blower motor. They have replaced the blower motor now and it’s now worse. The rattling primarily happens when stopped at lights or stopped in traffic. Attached is a link to a video I’ve taken of the sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have the exact same thing since day one of ownership…5000 miles on my 24. Annoys the hell out of me, it’s a pretty loud rattle/buzz, so I just turn the music up. I have an appt on Thursday to hunt it down.

I’ve checked everywhere. I’ve cabin filter, pulled panels, even replaced speakers… I’m am at a loss on what it could be. Fingers crossed the dealer can make it go away.

I have a video, but it won’t upload … but confirming that it is exactly the same.

Seems like this is not very common…I spent 5 hrs at the dealer today and they were able to hear the issue but unable to resolve. Although a seemingly minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things, it’s still very frustrating.

Check your air filter, it may be either installed upside down or incorrect sizing. Pull the filter element and turn on your fan to test. Had this happen on my rig, turned out my filter element was upside down…go figure.
