I also need to do some white paint touch up... I have a 2021 in super white that already has a dozen or so paint chips. In fairness, I was warned, but just didn't care enough to wait for a different color.

all of it is soft. I got my chip my first the first week. Actually lifted the paint a little. Just get a touch up pen from Toyota. I would leave it personally after my negative experience with trying to fix it (something I’ve done on a lot of cars), but I also live in San Diego with a lot less rain

    I have classic silver BTW

Have a Pro fix it, then stop it from happening agin.....if it's in the budget?

If you go with the OEM Touch Up Paint, use a tiny dab of it on the end of a toothpick and carefully apply the smallest drop of it as you can and allow it to fill the chip.

Dealerships sell OEM color paint pens. They work pretty great.

At this point I pretty much keep a color matched paint pen in all my cars haha

If you use the touch up pen, take your time and do several coats then smooth it down. There's quite a few YT videos on how to do it but one of the most important things is to get enough paint on it. I know that from experience.

Had a couple small chips myself
Got the Dr color chip kit with the squeegee. Wow that kit kicks ass and does a swell job. A chip repair is never perfect but wow i was impressed. The blending solution brings it all together…

Just washed the 4Runner for the second time. I am actually shocked at how bad the paint is. I have 4 more chips. Oh well. Life goes on. Love the truck. Still wouldn’t trade it, even with the crappy paint
