Ozarks for a Mini Honeymoon

Hey Guys,

Getting married very soon and the future Mrs. wants to go on a weekend trip to the Ozarks. I've been through the Ouachita's a few times but never the Ozarks.

Any must see things on the west side of the Ozarks?

The route so far will take us from Shores Lake Dam north to White Rock Mountain.
Going to focus on catching some good views, cooking and relaxing.

 

Go to post 33972 and scrollaway. We were in the Ozarks for a 5 days last week. Pics you see are recent. Keep scrolling. Poster has everything broken down into Day 1, Day 2, etc., but you need to scroll through the other b.s. to see all of it. May have to peruse 6-ish pages. Just look for the pics.

@Stoney Ranger - looked like a great trip Dave. Good to see you are enjoying your retirement. Hoping we can hook up again.

 

I live in NWA. Lots to see, but I am literally useless because I just pick a trail and go for it. There's some Facebook groups that can help out. There is an updated 2024 Ozark National Forest map as of 3/25/24. The Pig Trail Scenic Byway drive should be pretty this time of year. Car Wash Falls is popular but haven't been yet

 

Thanks for the ideas and recommendations guys. The weather held up great and we had an awesome trip! We will definitely be going back soon.
