    I am intrigued by the title but see mostly pictures of waterfowl. What is the intent of this thread? I like photography but did not want to participate out of context. :notsure:

    A lot of my posts don’t have meaning. It’s just backyard photography. Please share if you have some? Last year one had three and they all made it.

    This was in my backyard a few weeks ago when the Brood X cicadas started emerging. These were some of the very first emergers shedding their shells. There were so many that they were killing each other by the ones still in their shells walking over the soft bodies of the others and piercing them. You can see an example of that in the bottom two.

    Im just a hair south of brood X. Haven’t seen a cicada but the Green June Bugs are swarming now.
