Apologizing in advance for stupid question
I'm having a trouble interpreting my oil level results...
Its seems the reading should be around point "A", but when Im looking close, I see the oil marks all the way up to point "B".
Not sure if it's visible on photo...
So, what is it - A or B?

These dipsticks are a pain in the ass. 2 options:
Leave the dipstick out overnight so you don’t have residuals.
or if you change the oil, just put in your 6.6-6.7qts and never check the oil.

It's oil creeping up your dip stick tube.

Take the dipstick out for 5 min. Put it back in and pull it out again to take an accurate reading.

As @Jynarik said, these dipsticks are a pain in the ass. And like @nimby said, the higher mark you see is oil creeping up the stick, not reflecting the amount of oil in the pan. So in your picture, it seems you are about 3/4 quart low.

my method is to check the oil when the car is dead cold. Like in the morning. Pull it out, wipe it off and reinsert. I get consistent readings that way.

the other thing I’d say is that if one side of the stick shows a lower level than the other, go by the lower level.

    Above are the best ways.
I also park it, open the hood, pull the stick and check it in the morning.
Or if you need to check it hot and you got 5-10 minutes, just pull it and wait a bit for the oil to drain from the tube.

This. I have tried all the methods mentioned here. Wiping the stick clean and leaving it out for 5 minutes, allowing the tube to drain clear, then reinserting and pulling for measurement has been the most effective for me.

This stick really is a pain to read. Especially with fresh oil. Darn near transparent.

When I was a kid, I worked at a full service gas station and often checked oil.

The Japanese cars always had the worst dipsticks. Always hard to read, and a lot of the times hard to find, because at the time they were just metal loops that blended in with everything else under the hood.

Ok, so, I took the dipstick out at night and the next morning - voilà, it's clean and readable :)
    Thank you all for advises!

Hello, new to this dipstick. What does the 50/40 symbolize?

It actually reads 50140. Which is the second half of the part # 15301-50140

I used some light sandpaper on the end of the dipstick, makes it much easier to read!

When the oil is fresh and clear, you can carefully place the dipstick on a paper towel and slide it sideways to see the oil level on the towel.
