Hi all, It was tough but, I traded in Betty White (2021 4runner off road premium) for Bertha, Betty's big sister, 2025 GX550 Over Trail. She came with a lift and mall tires and wheels. Let the upgrades began. The Wescott Designs roof rack and ditch light brackets are ready for pickup (tomorrow), ordered on 1/28/2026. Finally a quick build. The light bar for the roof rack was delivered today. The catback exhaust was delivered today. Working on trading the wheels and tires for more of a off-roading setup. The wheels are black 22" Vossen HF6-1's and Nitto Ridge Grappler 35's. Looking to match the camper as much as possible., bronze wheels. More too come............

Nice GX550!! I'd love one, if they weren't so much $$$. IMO, 22" rims are too big though. Well anyway, really nice Overtrail! Look forward to following your adventures with it!

I'm not really into aftermarket wheels, but I agree that a set of 17" bronze similar to what was on your 4R would look amazing on the 550. The current 22s look pretty awful (sorry). Truck minus those looks great though.

I'll echo what everyone else has said; the new rig looks suhweeeeeeeeeeeeet. But those 22's gotta go. I call those "Rubber band" tires. Anyone who goes off road would never slap those onto their rig.

I like your camper. What brand/model is that? I need one like that. Lightweight/small. I hope it didn't cost you an arm and a leg (like the Lexus probably did!).

That 4Runner looks very good. Love the low pro bumper and rear setup.

Congrats. I feel disgusted while laughing at the same time. You've evoked two conflicting emotions in me with that .gif !

Have the GX motors been placed under the same recall as the Tundra?

I love the new GX550/LC look. its a shame that if you want the toyota you have to get a 4cyl/hybrid, no option with out. if i ever get into that platform, ill have to go Lexus for the v6!

i know there have been issues here/there but at least its not a 4cyl hybrid!

it’s a very handsome truck OP. I desire one but the $$ and the engine issues make me scared.
