Nitto Terra Grappler vs G2

My 4runner came with nitto terra grappler (not G2).

It also came with a street spare tire (shame on you Toyota).
I went to discount tire to get the spare tire to match my 4 tires and just realized that they put the nitto terra grappler G2.

From what I read, the G2 is a newer version, slightly less noisy and with slightly stronger sidewalls?
It is also rated 115T vs 113S (does not matter much to me).

My question is, if I ever need to use that spare tire, can I use it with the non G2 tires for extended period of times or is it preferable to get a non G2 tire as a spare (other than it is probably cheaper)?
