    Hey guys,

I'm purchasing a 5th gen 4Runner SR5P in Underground! Excited to join the squad and forum.

My first big purchase is gonna be for the lift and new shoes for the car. My list I'm thinking of is the following:
    • Dobinsons Lift Kit (2" front/1" rear)
    • RRW-7 wheels.. Looks like most on the site are 17x8.5. I do like the look of -10 offset but most likely will stick to +0 offset.
    • Falken Wildpeaks A/T4W (275/70/17)
My question is, if I do the 2/1 lift.. Will 17x8.5 wheels with the 275/70/17 have any rubbing? I'd prefer to not have to change out UCAs and do a body mount chop. Does anyone have a similar setup or might be knowledgeable about this?

    Welcome!

Lift wont help the rubbing on these rigs. If something rubs up front you'll just have to trim a little bit.

I had a similar setup with RRW 17x8.5 -12 and 285/70/17 tires. The setup took a small amount bumper trimming and pushing the fender liners forward. Then also removing the front mud flaps. Went ahead with a body mount chop since it was getting pretty close when flexed out and I knew I'd want to with bigger tires eventually.

Here are some photos of that setup.

    UCA's to correct caster.

Heres a good article on how to get some clearance up front.

    Welcome.

If you stick around, and you should, familiarize yourself with the search function. Especially the Search This Forum only box, from the forum that most closely matches what you need. You dont know it yet but this gets asked multiple times a week and 5th Gens are 15 years old.

Chances are it wont rub, unless it does. In which case, chances are its just the front mud flap or maybe the fender liner, in reverse, unless its something else. 275s arent that much bigger than stock, but Falkens run big and no 2 4runners are exactly alike.
