    Hey Everyone
Psyched to be in the "cool kids" group.
So I have to do pretty much a full brake job.
If I'm to do it, what is the "right" way? and what upgrades are "worth" making for rare off-road use? I won't be doing anything crazy.
Perhaps there's nothing wrong with stock, but if I'm going to make a change, it's now.
Also, are there any other things that I should address while having it all of this apart?

Honestly just stock unless you want to spend big brake kit money from Stoptech.

Welcome from Wisconsin! The use you're describing says OEM will be fine. You could spend big dollars on big brakes, it's unnecessary. When you replace the brakes do a general inspection of things underneath, look for leaks, etc., good luck on your project.

Go stock. You'll need to save money for lots of other stuff. It's a good idea to clean and re-pack the wheel bearings and install new inner and outer seals.

I follow several Toyota certified mechanics on YouTube. They use Durago Rotors and Akibono (probably didn’t spell that correctly) pads. I did this combo on my 4 runner and it’s amazing. Super quiet and great stopping. I see why they use this. I have put on Akibono pads for years on my Honda Pilot and loved them. Never heard of Durago rotors so I thought I’d give them a try. I’m sure glad I decided to give them a try. They’re fantastic. I have about 40k miles on them and they’re still very smooth and I still have a lot of pad on them
