    Going to get Toyo AT3 in a couple of weeks but Method is running 15% off right now and am considering the 305 NV 17x8.5 0 offset 4.75" backspacing. IF I decide to go with these wheels I will be running 265/70r17 tires on factory suspension. Method offers a lug kit in 12x1.5, would I need to go ahead and get those? Looking at the bronze and Method being lug centric wouldn't it make sense to use their lugs? Even if the factory lugs would be sufficient they are silver and I would prefer the black. Also a hub spacer would not be necessary correct?

    Both links are Method 12×1.5 lugs. The only difference I see between the two is one is spline the other hex although the spline has ET at the end of the part #. Not really wanting a lug nut that takes a special socket but if thats what it takes then so be it. I tried calling Method today but couldn't get through. I'll try tomorrow. Also read where I need 60 degree taper not sure if both are.

    I have spline and I don't see a real advantage either way. I suppose spline might be a little more difficult to steal. I keep the adapter in the truck.

    @Rngr188 Yes, you need different lugs. The OEM lugs aren't designed for aftermarket wheels. Likely you'll need 60 degree conical lugs 12x1.5, preferable with ET but might not need it. Speak to someone who knows wheels, it's a bit confusing trying to find what you need.

    I've read 60 degree tapered m12x1.5 extended thread. Been trying to call Method about their lugs but get "Your call cannot be completed at this time", emailed them yesterday no response, just sent a message to them on their FB page so we'll see. Just want to make sure I get this right from the get go. First time I've ever bought aftermarket wheels and I swear it's as confusing as suspension.

    It really is confusing. Call Discount Tire, they sell Methods and will know.

    Stock lugs are a mag seat so they sit flat.

    Your Methods use a 60 degree tapered cone seat - the stock lugs will not work.

    Highly recommended to go ET (Extended Thread) as it reaches further into the wheel for more threading onto the stud. Much safer. Non ET lugs work fine, but the ET lugs are better.

    M12 x 1.5 spline ET (extended thread) lug nuts are 100% without a doubt what you need.
    60 degree tapered cone seat is correct.

    Yes, small diameter is preferred.

    Hex nuts do fit but not all sockets will fit within the lug opening, needs to be a thin walled socket.
    Spline is an easier solution. Fit just fine and comes with the key.

    Hello. I’ve joined the conversation and hope to get some insight on how those lug nuts worked out for you. I too have recently purchased some method wheels(MRW 305s) and got the same m12x1.5 ET lug nuts. How are yours working out for you? Did you keep the same torque specs as oem(84ft lbs)? Or did you go tighter? The reason I ask is because at highway speeds I’m experiencing a vibration. It happened right after the wheel install. I’ve had 2 wheel balances(one from local shop that installed the wheels and one from discount tire) and I’m still not getting the smooth ride as before. My tires have 8700 miles on them. They’re factory Firestone Duelers.
    I inserted pics of my lugs because I’m concerned that the lug nuts aren’t securing my wheels properly. There seems to be a ring of space that isn’t being secured.
