Hey folks! My wife and I are new to the sport and looking for suggestions for finding other people to explore more challenging courses with.

We've been on a bunch of different FSRs in North Georgia, but there have been a few times we've turned around because we thought it would be best to tackle some obstacles if we were with another group. We have some recovery gear, but haven't added a winch or anything like that yet, and it would be nice to be with at least one other car with us.

Things like Beasley Knob, Windrock or Panther Rock are some spots on our list, but we don't really have friends into the hobby and, again, would just be great to be find a community in the same area tackling the same courses to team up with.

If you have any suggestions for clubs or forums would really appreciate it.

Welcome to the forum! I'm in Wisconsin, so I can't help you much with finding locals to wheel with. Hopefully some folks from your area will see this thread and comment.

It might be worth googling Georgia off-road groups. I know a lot of the guys up here are all about Facebook, so it might be worth checking there as well.

I can be down for a day trip, but I got little ones that we don't think are ready for camping (though that is in the works).

I haven't done the trails that you mentioned, but Charlie's Creek is about the most fun that I've had. I'm sure we could arrange a day trip up there, and maybe some of the others would be interested in finding a camp spot or continuing on to another trail.
