My wife and I have purchased a new to us, 2017 Limited, Blizzard Pearl w/ beige interior. (beige interior is hard to find than I thought it would be) It has just rolled past 103k miles and thing is super clean inside & out!

I've always been a fan of Toyota and especially the 4rnrs. My dad has owned a Toyota of some sort all my life. Mainly 80 & 90s pickups or Celica and now highlander. I've just never ended up w/one, till NOW. This is my 1st. Seems price typically stirred me away. Guess it took me awhile to figure out you get what you pay for or you pay for it in other ways down the road. HMMM....Maybe the gray hair really is a sign of wisdom!!

I don't plan on modding it as it a daily and want to keep it plush... for now. Other than some of the usual creature comforts. (weather techs/ tint/ new head unit, Dasaitis). And if the X-reas ever gives issue, go with 5100 Bilsteins.

First thing on my to do list, is the 100k service. Wanting to do it myself. Save some $$$ and get familiar w/ the 4rnr. Some alone time, if you will. On that topic, anyone have a resource for step/step maintenance instruction including torque specs and capacities?? Point me in the right direction would be much appreciated.

I've followed a few youtubers for a few years... trdjon & the vikings garage for some knowledge. And with the search bar on here, I'm sure I have hours of research in my near future:computercoffee:.

Will be doing some towing. Got a 16' skiff that we will pull around local to Topsail Island and occasionally pull it home. About 1hr 45min or so down the interstate. I'm sure it should handle with no issues.

But yeah, Glad to finally be a 4runner owner! :hattip:4rnr1.jpg

Putting it to work right off the bat.... now have 1k more miles than when I got Pearl. Made it to the beach (small road trip) with some 4x4 sand driving and an inaugural boat tow.

Changed serpentine belt and did coolant drain/fill & air filter & cabin filter. Doing the drain/fill on diffs/t case/trans at next oil change also.

    Gotta say, Loving the 4runner.

Welcome. I spent some of my younger years on the coast around the inner banks. I hope I can retire there one day.
