    Hi all,

I am intrigued by the new 2025 4Runner, not that it is in my budget LOL. I had an 87 4Runner with the 22RE, 5-spd. Loved that truck. Then had a 94 4Runner, 2002 Sequoia, 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and now a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk.

I was turned off of the 5th Gen 4Runner as I did not like the looks back when I purchased my GC and then when I was looking at the Cherokee two years ago as the GC blew a head gasket at 200k I did not get a 5th Gen as rumors of the 6th were coming out and waited. As time has gone on the 5th Gen looks grew on me and now I like them (still think 1st and 3rd the best).

I like the Cherokee so far although small, but really starting to want to get back to the 4Runner so joining this forum to keep up on things

    Thanks

I actually have grown to like it a lot as time has gone on. I probably should have purchased one instead of the Cherokee, but I wanted to keep in under $30k as still paying off kids college loans and such.

Welcome from Wisconsin! Did you get the recall on the Jeep about the wiring in the roof that rubs and may cause a fire taken care of? A 5th Gen 4Runner would have been good, but they may be getting scarce, good luck on your 'hunt', bet you miss the '87.. I would.

the 87 was a great vehicle, my first Toyota (although was always interested in those 80's Supra's and first truck) had 33" BFG ATs on it. Many ski trips or beach trips. Really enjoyed it and would love to have another one
