New member intro

New member here! I've enjoyed all the great info on this forum and finally signed up. My experience with 4Runners started with an '08 SR5 4x4 (white) which I have loved, loved, loved and has taken me on many a great adventure, and am now selling.

I recently purchased a cream puff 2024 5th gen T4R Off Road with only 4,700 miles in Underground. I tried hard to like a 6th gen T4R but personally saw too many caveats. So went for a 5th gen GOAT, shown with my 4th gen below.

I'm looking to add-on a few things, but typically lean towards stock without major revisions. I'm not a rock-seeker, rather see my 4Runner as necessary equipment when I adventure in snow and on trail to get to where I want to go.

Update: I sold my ‘08 4th gen in just a few hours on Facebook Marketplace. I’m not a big FB fan and never thought to sell a vehicle via Marketplace, but a colleague at work encouraged me to do it. I literally got messages about the car within minutes, and I had about 2 dozen inquiries in a few hours.

The challenge for me was to handle all those that wanted to see it in order, giving everyone a fair shake. Several wanted the VIN which I provided. The fellow that bought did a CarFax on it and wanted to meet after that. After getting it smogged (California thing to transfer title) we met. The test drive ended up at the bank where he paid me cash. Next stop was AAA where they handled all the paperwork and title transfer for free. What a breeze!

I do miss the ‘08 already, but am looking forward to getting to know the 5th gen replacement. First andditions are running boards and WeatherTech mats, then comes roof rack.
