Hey everyone, new member here but familiar with the forum. I've owned Toyotas for 10 years now and use too post on TW regularly. I recently bought a 2020 TRD OR last December and upgraded the headlights to alpharex Lux. The lights look great but I'm having a few minor issues and I'm looking for advice.

The first issue I have circled in the pic below. This area leaves a dead spot when driving. I adjusted the light level a little and it's helped but I'm thinking I still need to raise the driver side up. Has anyone noticed this on their lights or is it just my OCD? Ultimately my beam doesnt give a straight line but shows an etched out dead area on driver side. 20200815_150051.jpg
The second is when I have my brights on the lights occasionally flicker. I'm guessing it has something with the wiring. But figured I'd ask and see if anyone had a quick fix.

So far I'm loving the truck and the mods I've done since ive had it include tinting the front windows, alpharex headlights, led interior lights, and I currently have a Gobi Rack on order.

    Welcome!

I am excited to get a set. I haven't heard of the problem but know if you contact Alpharex support they are very good and can assist on the phone. Sorry couldn't provide extra help.

That cut off pattern is normal, it always steps down to the left so you blind oncoming traffic. Every single OEM LED/HID on the road has the same type of step down.

If your driveway is level the beam is off. Find a flat and level parking garage or somewhere(hard to find as most roads/ shops are pitched for drainage). I use a laser level and measure the elevation difference. Last place that looked level was 2-3" off at 25'

    Yes OP, exactly this.

Just make sure you have the cut off line at the correct level.

Thanks for the info. This is my first vehicle with aftermarket led/hids so it makes sense. Any ideas on why they would flicker when the brights are on?

My set of luxx series does the exact same cut off. Haven't had the flickering with brights on...due 5o covid haven't even been out at night smh. Let us know what you find out. But I do love these freakin lights!!!!

Bumping this thread. I've had issues with the high beams flickering still. It happens almost every minute - minute in a half. I've checked all the wiring and took it into my local shop to have them check and everything looks good. Looking for any other suggestions! Small issue but drives me crazy and makes me hope the lights don't cut out completely.

Have you reached out to Alpharexx? Maybe others have reached out to them.

They told me it may have something to do with the DRL's and the way it's wired. They have heard of the issue but doesn't sound like there is very many cases but recommended trying headlight capacitors to see if that fixes the issue so hopefully that works.
