    I’m a firefighter in healdsburg just sold my brand new truck (was tired of paying a payment) got 8k back and decided to buy an 88 4runner that has a shot 4” block lift in San Louis obispo for 4k towed it home drove it around a bit maybe 500 miles. I thought it had a miss in one cylinder 1 I knew I would be putting a new motor in it. Did a compression test turns out on was at 110 everything else was 160. So my block is at the machine shop as we speak. Planning on just a stock motor with intake and exhaust from LCE wich was already on it and a mild stage 2 torquer cam from yota1. Just ordered bomb proof motor mounts new injectors all new sensors and service manual. Looking for electronic exploded view of 22re and a full oem hardware kit for the 22re.     Good luck with the project, always liked those first gens with removable roofs. Like @Oldtoyotaguy, ours have all rusted to their final resting places.
