    Hey everyone,

Just picked up our 2021 Army Green - Trail edition 4runner yesterday (ordered it in Early March)
Glad to get started on mods

    I've got:
Diode Dynamic Amber Fogs - Max
TRD Pro Grille with 3 amber lights
    Window tint soon

    ---
    Looking for info on:
    Carbon Fiber interior trim
    ARB Diff breather - necessary?
    Remote Start
Really wish i had the DRL's that have the long check looking lines - need to read up on this

And if there are any other mods that are highly advised for brand new 4runners....please let me know.
I will do my part reviewing forums for more info.... just wanted to make a one time post to see if anyone was feeling nice enough to just point me in right direction.

    Thanks!

    Welcome!
We should be picking our 4runner up sometime next week. One thing I made sure I purchased before we pick it up is a Canvasback cargo liner. It'll help protect your cargo area if you ever plan on hauling anything.
Here's the link for the 5th gen 4runner liners: https://www.canvasback.com/toyota-4runner-cargo-liners-br-2010-2058.html
We received ours a week or so ago and they seem like they're going to work great. Just have to get the 4runner now lol.

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
    Welcome from south-central Oregon!

As to the ARB breather: I presume you mean a breather extension. I might be wrong.
They come in awfully handy, if you do a lot of fording, or heavy, sloppy, mudding. Even if you, like me, love to go scooting through puddles left in store parking lots after a good rain, or during the snow melt. Anything I can find deeper than the axles. Love to watch the water spray everywhere as I go blasting through.
Any time there's a chance you could get water up to/over your current breathers, really. Remember, when you bury the diffs in water, they suddenly cool down, and need to draw air in through the breather. If they're under water, you draw water into the diff, which really messes the oil up. If you have breather extensions, this can't happen.

Just make sure to keep the part where the air actually goes in/out nice and clean, extension or no. Nothing causes axle seals to leak faster than a clogged breather, causing a pressure build up, as the diff warms up. Then you have axle seals to replace, along with brake shoes, on the rear axle, anyway.

I know, that's a lot of babbling about a small, relatively inexpensive, part. Sorry...
    Pat☺

Highly recommend doing canvas back day 1. I also recommend getting weather tech or husky mats right away, things get dirty very quickly.

    Welcome to the forum.

I sold my oem all-weather mats and replaced them with Oedro. Night and day difference. Better mats, more coverage, less $$.

Oh im bout to get pics.
    200 milese on it already.

Put on the TRD Pro bumper, and Diode Dyanmic MAX SS3 fogs.
Handful of other things soon... pics coming.

Appreciate the info on breathers and floor mats.

The Trail version came with some "all weather floor mats" which seem decent.

    Welcome and Congrats!!!

There are so many things you can do. But honestly it depends on how you ride your 4Runner. If it is a mall crawler and never sees a dirt road then you list will be smaller than someone building a overlanding rig. Anyways here is my build (including many ARB installs).
