    Hey guys!

My left and right heated seat is not working. The switch light turn on for both sides but is not heating. Does anyone know what could be causing this issue? I have a 2014 T4R SR5 Premium.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    It's a long list...
Check the heated seat fuses on the cabin fuse box on the driver side. They should be labeled on the cover. The switches are on a separate fuse (IGN 10A?) vs the heater control assemblies for the pads under the seats.

Thanks for the feedback @Old Red & @Saker I started last night checking for the fuse but got stuck trying to identify them. I will report back once I checked them today.

So, I checked the fuses and they are ok. I was assuming they would be b/c if a fuse was blown the light on the switch won't be coming On and they both do. Any other suggestions??

Here's the diagram for the heated seats. You checked both the 20A Seat Heater FR and the 10A ECU-IG No 2? Visually or with a Multi-meter? I myself have been fooled by a fuse that "looked" fine but was not. Next thing I would check is the heater control sub assemblies under the seats. Did both seats stop working simultaneously? To me that seems odd that they both quit.

I checked the fuse visually not with a meter. I can continue with the search tomorrow and see. The switches have power b/c the lights are on so I may get positive feedback from the meter.

Did you ever get this solved? I'm struggling with the same problem... Both fuses good (tested with multimeter). Rheostat switch light turns on. No heat. not quite sure what to test next.

There is a control sub assembly under the seat. Its a white connector with a black wire jacket. Hard to miss. This is what was not working on mine. My fuses and switch were fine. If this also checks out fine, then you have a faulty seat element. In that case, you can forget about heated seats.

Thanks - I recently bought a 16 Pro. Both switches light up, but neither seat is heating. I'm starting to worry that it may have been flooded in its former life. If so, it could have wrecked both of these subassemblies - I'll look into this closer.

Would a broken element on the butt heater cause the back element to stop working too? I had a mechanic tell me that I needed to replace all four elements...

Buy 1 assembly and connect one by one. If they work, you know the problem.
If your seat element is gone, that is labor intensive, time consuming and very expensive.
I believe it's 1 element for seat and lower back

I forgot to provide with an update.

The control sub assembly was my issue and the reason my heated seat wasn’t working. Thanks to @Lc200 recommendation, all is good and my heated seat is working perfectly now!!!

Nice to hear. Did it look rusted or signs of water damage under the seats?

None of the above. It looked burned when I opened the assembly/module.
