3403E32F-B52B-4A55-9005-CA7BAC12D1D4.jpg Hey hey! Have had my 2021 for a couple months now. Was looking for either a 4runner or gx460 but used cars in this market are crazy, so I went for it and drove off the lot with a Off road premium with kdss. I couldn’t be happier. Needed a bigger vehicle with the addition of a baby girl and our bigger than she looks dog. My previous daily was a 2011 Tacoma access cab 2.7l 4x4 which I love and is now used as my work truck. Haven’t done much and I’m not quite ready to drill holes but I don’t think I’ll be able to go too long. Bone stock for now as I took it home with 5 miles on the clock!

D1A5810F-BE73-4B08-A5C6-0F505260B8CC.jpg First mod was a phone mount, as it’s got the CarPlay I figured no need for a dash mount, but you cant really browse your music so I mounted it using the center console mount from Proclip and the Tackform Tomahawk from expedition essentials. Works pretty good! super solid, and no drilling necessary! Will try and get a pic with a phone in it when my wife is in the car with me.

My next mod is the CB, I’ve got all the parts and just need time to do the install. Went with the cobra 75 for ease of install and again, minimal drilling.

before I install the cb I wanted to get my power figured out for future additions, lights, compressor, etc. I know best practice is right to the battery but I decided to work on an aux fuse panel which I had been wanting to do to my Tacoma forever. Having access to a 1000watt fiber laser and brake makes these projects pretty simple. Fuse box and breaker are just from Amazon. May change up the design but i will give this one a shot first. 11ga steel, bolts to the two M8 threaded holes behind the relay fuse box. Will keep updating as I go!

Added Rhino-Rack Vortex crossbars with Sx series legs. I went with these after much deliberation between these, the LFD crossbars and the pioneer platform for the sx legs. I’m not quite ready for a full roof rack and all i really need is the ability to carry a canoe and potentially a Thule/Yakima roof box. I figure if I want I can also upgrade to the pioneer platform as I now have the leg kit. Happy with the setup so far, have noticed a slight whistle at high speed when the wind is hitting at the right angle, but not enough to bother, I also have the front bar set as far forward as possible. They sit pretty low which is what I was looking for!

I was wondering the same thing, but it’s not legible Roman. I think it’s probably short for Maximilian(sp?) since his name is Max.

I’m a fan of the relay board, nice work!

Added white knuckle sliders today! Was a bit trickier than expected due to the KDSS, but after some evaluation I figured it out.D9DE71DE-0860-45C9-A5F6-50E4CC067916.jpgA50071CD-0EB7-48AD-A1F6-4BF28781897D.jpg6C852D9C-E244-4E1F-A5B4-37ABD8A1C2DF.jpg

I’m liking this mounting solution. I found the Tomahawk and the proclip but what did you use in between the 2 for the ball mount to attach to the proclip??

it’s the short Tomahawk from expedition essentials, I just drilled my own holes and used hardware from McMaster Carr

You have a link? The only one I’m seeing from expedition essentials is 3.5” long and that’s too long for what I need. Thx man!
    Sorry! I see it.

sorry, meant to include in my last response

I’ll try and get a close up picture. Key is to offset it so the screws don’t dig into the console. I dig the setup after months of use. It doesn’t get in the way at all, but I do have a iPhone 13 mini so the size works great. It’s not bad with the bigger model either
