    Fantastic lights, noticeably brighter then the stock led lights.

    The high beams on these lights are amazing. I didn't go with the supercharged drivers, these lights are bright enough without them.

    My only complaint is the aiming screw is tight, and strips VERY easily. I completely stripped the screw, and had to finish aiming them with a socket.

    Be very careful when aiming them, the screw is made of tin foil and will completely strip. I recommend using a socket instead.

    How do you like them? We have the Gen 2 XB's on our 2020 but we just picked up a 2016 with halogens. I don't know if I want Morimotos or OEM leds.

    Thanks for those pics @LA260.
    There seems to be a little light scattering above the cut-off line that affects oncoming vehicles.
    Which is why I won't be buying aftermarket headlights.
    They just can't seem to get it right no matter how much money one spends.

    Lots of OEM headlights have light scattering on top but it's not strong enough to affect oncoming traffic. It's just to light up reflective signs. For what its worth I haven't been flashed once in the last two months that I've had the Morimotos. Cant say the same for my other cars with OEM headlights. If the headlights are adjusted properly there shouldn't be any issues.

    they look really good. Not ready to get rid of my OEM LEDs yet, but I think that of the aftermarket options, these new headlights are undoubtedly the best. I want to wait a couple of years and see if these "yellow" like the old Morimotos did.

    What you called scattering above the cut-off is regulation required "upper illumination" This is lamp I designed including projector being used inside, allow me to add some explanation, this is rather common confusion among many lighting discussion

    Glare is defined by red box Orange arrow is for 100m road sign illuminator( seen as bit of blue blurred band very slightly above cutoff line, yes this blue shall be very slightly above horizontal line) red arrow is 50m road sign illuminator
    Floating rectangular box is for overhead signs.

    All of above cutoff line illumination except glare box has required minimum value, and maximum allowable value.
    To enhance potency of driver comfort within regulation limit, I set upper illumination capability at upper range.

    This is NOT glare. Most of aftermarket headlamp does not have any consideration to such safety required distribution. Sharp cutoff without upper illumination is the one did not get it right, which is 99% of aftermarket headlamp.

    My '16 with projector technology (factory stock) is what I'm working with.
    My Cibie' Z-Beams in my '03 Jeep are old school tech with H-4's.

    Looks great! I want to do this but the heating element is holding me off. I don't want to run any fuse taps. I reached out to Morimoto to find out if the heaters need to be wired or if you can leave that part disconnected but no response.

    If disconnected, Welcome sequence/DRL/Heater won't get powered. is yours newer than 2019YM? and concern about fuse box lid won't close with any fuse tap?

    That is a bummer. It's a 2023. I'm not concerned with the fuse lid issue. I know I can drill a small hole to run the cord. I'm just not a fan of tapping into anything of significance. If I recall for the Morimoto installation video they say to tap into ING fuse which I'm not a fan of.

    You are fusing downstream to ING line, so ING fuse is natively and independently fused away from XB Evo harness, will not get compromised, that's the point of fuse downstream. For 2023, there won't be enough height for any fuse tap, so lid won't close, can't drill hole on side wall ( unless you try to cutout top) You either not use fuse box lid or get fuse box lid raiser. Fuse junction are external component design, lids are pretty much fuse assignment note pad, I would keep somewhere in vehicle.
