    Hello everyone,

    I have a 2024 4wd TRD Off-road 4Runner and I need an Eibach stage 2 lift kit with freedom upper control arms installed.

    I already have all of the parts.

    Can anyone recommend a mobile mechanic that can do the install?

    Thanks in advance.

    Edit- I'm Houston, Tx

    Why do you need a mobile mechanic? Much easier to install in a shop on a lift, wall/bench mounted spring compressor etc. Also, it will need to be aligned afterwards.

    Fair enough. I’d be leery of anyone trying to do the job at a reasonable price.

    Doing chassis work on jack stands sucks ass… plus the variable of your work area conditions. Any mechanic worth paying is going to charge a premium for that job.

    While I appreciate the desire for convenience I would no-bid that job if it were me. As mentioned, doing chassis work on jack stands in someone’s yard is awful work.

    I hope for your sake that you can find somebody who will work with you though and at a reasonable price. Let us know how it goes.

    Me and my buddy installed pre-assembled coil overs on one of my 4runners, rear shocks and springs. With that experience I would definitely let a shop with a real lift do the install with alignment. Especially lifting one side of the rear axles to get in the springs on the other side was a little risky job just with jack stands to my eyes.

    I think I'll let a shop do it after all. Thank you for everyone's feedback.

    Update BTS truck accessories on old highway 90 quoted me $450 to install upper control arms, front coilovers, and rear shocks with springs. For the alignment Firestone on Wallisville rd quoted me $229 for lifetime alignment.

    That is cheap. I pay around $700-750 labor for Toyota specialist 4x4 shops here in Denver to do suspension lift install and alignment. (They only do Toyota & Lexus)

    Just one time I used a generic 4x4shop to install spacer lift on 4Runner and parts + labor cost $730 if I can remember correctly.

    I thought it was a good price. It's just labor cost because I already have all of the parts. The coilovers are already assembled too.

    Wut? You loosen the axle link bolts to eliminate bushing bind, unbolt the shocks, then lower the axle with a hydraulic jack supporting the pumpkin. Unbolt brake line brackets if they get in the way.

    If you want a workout, try swapping leaf packs on a Tacoma. Each leaf pack is 80-100 lbs. :laugh:

    Not my pic but this is how we did. For me who is doing it for the first time felt risky. Don't want to do it again.

    That's an awesome price, I hear shops in my area charging north of $1,000 for the same work.

    Did you tell Firestone your were lifted?

    My local Firestone doesn't offer liftetime to vehicles with modified suspension. Its in the fine print. The manager was nice enough to let me know when I went in so I just went with the regular alignment.

    Nope, Not weird at all. See below;

    1) This video shows the way me and my friend installed the springs. Lift the axle from one side
    upload_2025-9-5_19-52-1.png
    upload_2025-9-5_19-53-10.png

    2) And another video using the same method I used. So not weird at all. :p:D

    upload_2025-9-5_19-59-6.png

    3) It was much easier than this method;

    upload_2025-9-5_19-20-55.png

    4) In this video he says he asked his wife to stand on the hub. Also to note I don't have spring compressors like in both these videos use.

    upload_2025-9-5_19-32-7.png

    5) Even this video says have some one step on the axle. I try this and I did not feel safe. Then went with the jacking up one side of the axle method showed in my previous reply.

    ^Those Youtubers did it to "save time". Just loosen the bolts connecting the four links to the axle, the axle will drop free. The higher-end suspension kits involve upgraded link arms, so it never comes up as an issue.

    Yes I told Firestone that it was lifted. All they asked for was the parts I was replacing with the lift.
