Mileage Just showed up on Toyota app for the first time

This might be nerdy as hell but I have a new truck on the way and I keep getting notifications that the car is starting etc.

Just now, the mileage on the odometer just showed up for the first time after having the app for a week. I also just started getting these notifications as of this morning.

Does this mean my truck is about to finally leave the port?

Mine has been in freight status since 1/11/22, at least, that’s just when my dealer informed me it was finally coming. Was originally supposed to deliver 1/17/22, has been pushed 5 times. Until yesterday my app had no updates and no odometer or fuel. Yesterday the tank changed to full with 3 miles. Today it still shows odometer at 3 but now no fuel. Not sure what any of this means, but here looking for answers same as you. Hoping that it delivers this time, been waiting nearly a month for it to deliver.

 

Mine shows the exact same thing. Are you getting the "2022 4Runner has multiple vehicle alerts, please check app for more details."? I've gotten this notification 5 times within 3 hours but don't see anything in the app other than the notification saying the same thing.

 

I haven’t gotten any notifications in the app. I have just been checking it like crazy hoping something would change. Got really excited yesterday when fuel and odometer finally showed up, hoping maybe that means it’s coming. I was told by my dealer mine is coming by truck freight. But a little disheartened today now that the fuel has disappeared. Not sure what it means

 

Well shit. Hopefully the notification spam doesn't mean something's wrong with it lol.

Mine is at the port in Houston, hoping it'll get to the dealer today/tomorrow as it's only 6 hours away. Was told on Friday it could've arrived anywhere from monday-tomorrow so fingers crossed. Congrats on your new truck though!

 

Hopefully that means it’s getting on transport and no issues.

mine is only about 10 hours out from me at the LA port.

 

How did you get the notifications set up? When I try to do that, it wants me to enter a code on the dash, which I obviously can't do before the truck gets here.

Mine showed 1 mile on the odometer when it was at port, a couple weeks before it hit freight. Freight should take about 3 weeks for me.

 

Well looks like mine had updates because it was delivered. Just got it home

 

I seem to be the only one that does not get any notifications. Mine has been in freight status for it seems over a month and can't even see mileage.

 

Mine showed mileage for the first time today, 2 miles.

 

I have an ORP that supposedly arrived in Long Beach on 2/7. How are you all tracking the delivery progress? Is there a website you can use to check?

You can only really get tracking progress from the dealer. There's a way to get into some back door into the dealer updates, but it requires some impressive nerdery that I don't possess.

 

Give me your VIN and I'll tell you the current status. I'm impressively nerdy.

 

I should make a website for the community to type in their vin and it gives the status.

That eta keeps changing as they continue to ignore it.

 

Don't take that ETA for much of anything in this market. Mine kept moving and got up to Feb 20th but was delivered yesterday, the logistics are weird right now.

When the dealer promises 7-10 days, I sell my current vehicle, then find myself at 3 weeks and counting, I've become quite annoyed.

Don’t do it.

You will only likely get api security increased if you automate this.

 

I have my truck in freight status on a boat somewhere. Asked the dealer for the VIN he said they only get that 3 days before the truck arrives. I mentioned about a vessel name to track the shipment …crickets Nada nothing ! How many boats left the port where the runners leave from since Feb 8th? Not many ….and they say delivery April 19th

Delivery ETA apparently got pushed to 2/14 from what the dealer told me. Starting to think they're bs'n me.

 

Congrats! Mine got pushed back to the 14th but now has 4 miles instead of 3.

 

That's how mine is. I don't have access to start the truck or anything. It just randomly tells me doors are unlocked or the hood is open. Also shows 4 Miles

 

Are you pulling the API with Python?? I'd love to be able to track myself but haven't written any code in quite some time. I'd love to throw a copy of your code in VSCode if you don't mind sharing your script.

 

I was able to get a vin from the dealership when it hit port. Vin numbers are made once it is built so your dealer is useless.

 

I use postman Client personally.

I would say they just might be since yours has no delivery date specified.

Your status is 'A' and generally, this means:

A - Allocated
F - freight (is built and currently on boat/in port)
G - ground delivery or delivered
